Chris Jankowski has built a proven record solving complex problems in state politics, government service and currently in state government relations. His breadth of experience provides unique insights and answers for all types of groups including Fortune 500 companies, organizations and coalitions.

With experience ranging from early state political campaign work, to serving as an Assistant Attorney General in South Carolina, Chris successfully managed a wide range of legal, policy, and political challenges early in his career.  While based in Washington, Chris gained valuable multi-state government affairs experience, representing the insurance and financial services industries in over a dozen states.  Later, as Director of State Political Affairs for the American Council of Life Insurers, Chris built a political network of contacts and relationships in state capitals across the country, working with members of both political parties and leaders at all levels of state government.

This unique combination of political, legal, and public policy experience places Chris Jankowski among the leading innovators in crafting solutions to state government problems.

Carrie Cantrell brings to Rhumb Line over 15 years of state and federal experience in communications and policy. Her experience working with government leaders; national, state and international media; as well as non-profit groups, business organizations and Fortune 500 companies, provides a wide range of insight and knowledge to effectively assist clients with strategic communications plans, policy development and public advocacy.

Carrie also serves as Executive Director of the State Government Leadership Foundation and as Senior Advisor for the Republican State Leadership Committee, working with state officials on issues that challenge executive branch officials, legislative leaders, attorneys general and the private sector. During her career, she has represented elected officials and organizations in state, national and international media, including the Washington Post, Washington Times, Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Investor's Business Daily, and has appeared in "Perspectives" in Newsweek Magazine.

Carrie served as Press Secretary for former U.S. Senator George Allen and as Policy Director for former Attorney General Jerry Kilgore's gubernatorial campaign.

Having most recently served as campaign manager for Speaker Bill Howell’s successful
re-election campaign, Andrew Lamar is currently a Virginia coordinator for Huckabee for President, and continues to play an active, leading role in political campaigns in the Commonwealth. Drawing on his campaign and issue research experience, he will assist clients with grassroots management, issue research, and government affairs outreach. A rising star in Virginia politics, Andrew brings campaign-style enthusiam and focus to Rhumb Line – joining with us to continue to produce bottom-line results for our clients.

Andrew is a graduate of the Sorensen Institute's College Leaders Program and the University of Mary Washington, where he earned a degree in Economics and Political Science.

Marcia Meekins
Legislative Assistant

Marcia Meekins brings the insight of being a small business entrepreneur and a record of leadership in Richmond area civic and community groups to Rhumb Line. She is responsible for tracking, monitoring and reporting all legislative and regulatory developments of interest to our clients. From conducting research to attending legislative hearings, Marcia provides timely and accurate information and intelligence for Rhumb Line's clients.

Marcia is a graduate of the University of Richmond.
